Kathryn Riverfront Inn, An Ascend Collection Hotel - Seaside

this was a quiet and absolutely fabulous property with an amazing pool. great service, although a few employees were ridiculous. the location was great for visiting restaurants and an oceanarium near the hotel.

Unfortunately my room was somewhat small.

Excellent and attentive employees helped us a lot. Got great breakfasts and overall had a very enjoyable stay overall on vacation.

Plenty of parking.

The rooms were clean, except for the floors, but the stair wells, hallways, and dining room floors were filthy, truly filthy. I would suggest tile or other hard surface instead of carpet. Also, the pool room was dirty and the water was so cloudy you could not see the bottom of the pool. The bottom runners of the sliding doors were very dirty and the hot tub was closed the second day we were there. WiFi didn't work all the time. We usieBooked.net all the time, successfully, but the rating for this facility was way off.

The hotel's location was central, in walking distance to beach or shopping district. Spent here 2 relaxing days and would come here again.

The location was charming, at a medium distance from Edge. In our enjoyable room with a comfortable design there were exceptionally comfortable beds.

Their staff were very rude.

Very pleasant staff but cost of room was ridiculous. $310 just because of volleyball. The room was not worth that...

Location was good and price was good for the value.

Breakfast was OK, but there needed to be additional staff to see about wiping down tables and restocking food items. One person was not enough to handle the number of guests. Halls and rooms just seemed tired and needed to be really cleaned or updated.

great stay but minor issues

The room was a spacious retreat with a fantastic balcony overlooking the river. The staff provided really good service, always accommodating our requests with a smile.

Check-in took longer than expected, causing a slight inconvenience after a long drive.

Units with a fireplace...

Friendly staff. Room was average. Bed was comfortable. Balcony was nice, but small. (Didn't want to spend much time on the balcony, as the neighbors were smokers.)

The decor is a bit dated and the carpet needs to be replaced in stairwells. Room needs a few hooks for towels, etc. A full length mirror would have been a nice addition. Housekeeping might want to clean the LARGE spiderwebs from the balcony area. Glad I didn't see the spiders in residence. ;-)

We had a blast with the kids in the indoor pool, and the view from our Standard King Room with Balcony was amazing! The complimentary cookies at 5 pm were a tasty surprise.

The location was good and the parking was convenient.

The staff member that treated us was dismissive and rude, and when he was asked why, blamed it on the management having left him there alone all day to manage a fully booked hotel. I had received a call earlier promising me a particular room, which we were not provided. The pull out bed was unusable and of poor quality, such that my 11 year old daughter slept on the sofa without pulling out the mattress.

Amazing place with free wi-fi, great parking, and 24-hour reception. During my first stay, staff helped me find my lost necklace, which I appreciated. I'm excited to return for a new year!
